Red

It has made a statement on the lips of Hollywood actresses and fashion runway models for years. From past American Icons such as Marilyn Monroe to present Billboard Music Award Winner Taylor Swift, this trend seems no closer to slowing down.

If there is one thing Swift never leaves at home, it is her signature red-hot pout. But who can blame her? There is absolutely nothing that screams more confidence than a bold red lip. Whether you are going on a first date or just a girls night out, wearing a red lip can give you that boost you just needed.
However, finding a lipstick that suits you best can bee quiet intimidating. A dramatic red hue can make complexions look brighter and teeth appear whiter. Don't know what lipstick suit you best? The secret lies all within your skin's undertone. There are several techniques to finding out what type of undertone you have.

My personal favorite, and in my opinion the easiest and fastest method is The Wrist Method. In natural lighting, look at the inside of your wrist. If your vein appears blue, you have a cool undertone. If they appear greener you have a warm undertone. If you can't really tell, or you can see a mixture of both, then you may be neutral.

Now, you know what undertone your skin has, but what do you do with this information. There are truly thousands of lipsticks to choose from, every single one different from the other. The Chart above explains what red lipsticks are best for your skin's undertone.
